Planet Hollywood Resort & CASINO

Reservations: 702 785 5555
A well-priced mega resort now home to some of the most adult-orientated entertainments on the Strip. Seemingly born under an unlucky star, Planet Hollywood is hoping that her original (and unlucky] life as the Aladdin is behind her and she can look forward to a profitable future by mixing Hollywood Glamour with Vegas Sin. Having opened in 2000, the Aladdin had one of the bumpiest rides of any of the major resort-hotels in recent time. Of course, it didn't help that the project went massively over budget, nor that the opening was postponed for 5 months, nor that when it did finally open there weren't enough hotel rooms ready for all the reservations taken. So much for a 'grand' opening! The Aladdin was bought by Planet Hollywood, Starwood Hotels and Bay Harbor in the bankruptcy courts for $637m in 2004. A further $100m was spent on renovations that changed the facade, improved the casino and added restaurants, a 1,300-seat showroom and a 500-seat TV studio. Planet Hollywood has also worked on her contacts in the entertainment industry to attract crowds of celebrities on a daily basis. Extra is a popular television show of big-name interviews and gossip mongering, and it has set up its headquarters in the Extra Lounge. They bring in a daily influx of beautiful people who willingly glad hand and pose for photos with their adoring fans. A programme to improve guest facilities means that rooms now come with marble bathrooms with oversized bathtubs, and inroom personal computers.
Restaurants 9, headlined by the Japanese offerings of Koi and the popular Chinesefusion food of PF Chang's. The lone holdover from the Aladdin days is the Spice Market Buffet, one of the best value buffets in Vegas. Plus the Miracle Mile shopping area has more great dining with Trader Vic's. Pink's Hot Dogs opened its first location in Vegas here in August 2009
Shopping The Miracle Mile - once The Desert Passage at the Aladdin - is a massive shopping area with more than 170 shops including H&M and Urban Outfitters and 6 fine-dining restaurants including hot city favourites the Commander's Palace from New Orleans, Sevilla, Bice and Anasazi, plus 6 casual eating outlets
